The society has revised its by-laws to open up the common bond. A person of either gender is eligible for membership if in possession of the following qualifications: –
- Employee of the Malawi Defence Force
- Retired Employee of the Malawi Defence Force
- Spouse, Son or Daughter of the above members
- Employees from Government Ministries
- Employees from Government Departments
- Employees from Government Agencies

Membership Requirement
To join Msilikali Sacco one has to do the following:
- Fill membership application forms – Click here to download
- Pay a one-time membership fee of K2,000
- Commit to make a monthly contribution of K5,000 or more for shares
- Commit to make a monthly contribution of K5,000 or more for deposits
