Msilikali SACCO (MSACCO) an afiliate of Malawi Union of Savings & Credit Cooperatives Ltd (MUSCCO), is a member owned and democratically controlled financial cooperative society that aims at providing quality and affordable financial services to its members; drawn from the Malawi Defence Force (MDF) and other Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Therefore, Msilikali SACCO invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position tenable at its Head Office and branches
Risk & Compliance Officer – Head Office
Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager, the Officer shall support the implementation of the institution’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, regulatory compliance obligations, and internal control systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy and Framework.
- Identify and asses Credit, Operational, Financial, Compliance, ICT, and emerging risks across departments and branches.
- Maintain and update the institution risk register, track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and escalate breaches promptly
- Participate in investigations and documentation of findings
- Support implementation of AML/CFT, KYC, data protection, and consumer protection requirements.
- Conduct compliance reviews and spot checks on branches and departments.
- Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory returns and compliance reports.
- Support staff training and awareness on risk management, compliance.
- Follow up on Audit findings and management action plans
- Support review and implementation of institutional policies, procedures, and manuals.
- Support development and updating of compliance checklists and tools
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Auditing, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance
- CRMA, ACCA, CIA, or similar certification is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2 – 5 Years experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Audit in a finance institution, SACCO
- Experience in Regulatory compliance and Internal Controls is an added advantage
